The flash estimate on euro area prices for August 2026 is scheduled by Eurostat for September 1. The reference figure is July's annual rate of 2.9%, up from 2.8% in June, with energy at 10.0% and services at 3.3%; in the European Union the rate stood at 3.0%. The lowest rates were recorded in Sweden (0.3%), the highest in Romania (8.2%). Since January 1, 2026, the euro area includes Bulgaria, and the series are published as EA21.
